Room 27 was my first band -we started about eight years ago or more and the line up was: Hyrum Estes-Vocals Benjamin Boulton a.k.a-Binky:bass guitar and back up vocal duties Dan Tanner-drums Tony Hinchey-Guitar and vocals We really sucked but our songs were pretty funny-we wrote about our friends and enemies,MILK,barnyard sodomy,and our favorite foods. Our first show was on Earth Day I forgot the year because I was on too much acid yrs. ago but it was in Murray,KY and Hyrum was to afraid to sing so I became the front man of the band that day. The bands we played w/ were The Playful 8,Hippies w/Guns,Fifth period and Plaid. The Hall shows were nothing but fun in those days and didn't get shut down because of stupid kids trying to drink in the parking lot of the venue,not that I'm against drinking but it doesn't help when you're trying to hold a Punk Rock concert in the buckle of the bible belt. Dan quit playing drums and became the second guitarist and he was the only one w/ a vehicle so we couldn't just throw him out. Jason Griffith became our drummer-he was great he would eat worms at the end of shows,drink gasoline, and taught us how to throw Molotov cocktails. Dan quit the night before our second show and Room 27 stayed a 3 piece band after that. Binky was later replaced by Dan as a bass player now Dan had done everything in this band. We broke up in 92' and we started in about 90' . Jason joined up w/ Binky once again and got Jerry Davis to play guitar they released 2 albums one under the name:Meanson and one under:Ozone Kite -I eventually moved to Las Vegas and when I moved back they were Meanson again and Dan (yes the same one) | ||||||||||||||||
